What is printed on the label
A part number identifies the model and is the same on every one ever built. The serial is yours alone, and it’s the one we need. They’re easy to mix up, so here is what to expect on a Fiat Continental VP1 and VP2.

A part number can’t produce a code, because every radio of that model shares it. If yours is one of those above, keep looking: the serial is the longer number, usually on its own line or a barcode label.
How to find your Fiat Continental VP1 and VP2 radio serial number

- The serial is not shown on screen.
- Take the radio out with 4 release keys (2 each side) until they click, then pull.
- The label is on the metal case, on the back or one of the sides.
- It reads A2C and then a long run of numbers — type the whole thing in. Only the last 4 numbers are the serial and we take them for you.
Photograph the label rather than copying it by hand — 0 and O, 1 and I are easy to mix up.
This radio comes out with four removal pins, two in each end of the front. Push them in until they click, then ease the radio forward.
Tips for your Fiat Continental VP1 and VP2
- This one will not put its serial on the screen. The unit has to come out — four release keys into the slots at each end of the fascia until they click, then pull it straight towards you.
- The label is on the metal case rather than the front, so you are reading it once the unit is in your hand.
- Type the whole A2C number. It is long, and the part of it that matters is the end, so a photo beats copying it by eye.

That will be a Combo, which is a rebadged Doblò with the same unit behind the fascia. The serial is what decides it, not the badge, so type it in.
Is this the same as the 199 CD?
No. The 199 CD is the Daiichi-built unit with a short serial on the label. If yours starts A2C you are on the right page.
Can I get the serial without taking the radio out?
Not on this one. Some Fiat units show their serial on screen; the Continental does not.
