About Mitsubishi radio codes
Mitsubishi fitted its own and Mitsubishi Electric-built head units, whose codes sit in the maker’s records rather than in a formula. Two exceptions are worth a try. The Mitsubishi Express of 2020 on is a rebadged Renault Trafic, so it shows a four-character precode when you hold presets 1 and 6 — and that one we do instantly. And some older units are Philips-built; if your serial is fourteen characters, type it in and the free check will tell you whether it is in our lists.

Why we use your radio’s serial, not your number plate
A radio code belongs to the radio, not the car. A dealer usually looks it up from the Mitsubishi’s number plate or VIN (the 17-character number in your logbook), which only works if the car still has the radio it left the factory with. Radios are often swapped under warranty, upgraded, or changed by a previous owner.
The serial number is printed on the radio itself, so the code we give you matches the radio in front of you. It is also how we can check it for free before you pay. Main dealers often charge £30–£130, and you usually have to book the car in.

Can you do a Mitsubishi radio code?

My Mitsubishi Express asks for a code.
The Express from 2020 is a rebadged Renault Trafic. Hold presets 1 and 6 for five seconds: if a letter and three numbers appear, that is a Renault precode and we do those instantly.
