About Chevrolet radio codes
Chevrolet arrived in Europe in January 2005, when the whole Daewoo range was simply rebadged: the Matiz stayed the Matiz, the Kalos became the Aveo, and the Tacuma became the Rezzo. The cars did not change, so the radios in the early ones are the same Daewoo units, with the serial on the label and the code worked out from the last 8 numbers. What went into the later cars we have not established, and we will not guess — type the serial in and the free check reads it rather than the badge, for nothing.
How to find your Chevrolet radio serial number
The serial isn’t shown on the screen: it is printed on a label on the radio itself. The serial tells us exactly which code your radio needs.
On the label
- Take the radio out.
- Type in the last 8 numbers of the serial on the label.
Take a photo of the label rather than copying it by hand: it’s easy to mix up 0 and O, or 1 and I.
Most radios slide out with a pair of radio removal keys (a few pounds from any car parts shop). Push them into the slots on the front until they click, then ease the radio forward. Some have screws to undo first.

Why we use your radio’s serial, not your number plate
A radio code belongs to the radio, not the car. A dealer usually looks it up from the Chevrolet’s number plate or VIN (the 17-character number in your logbook), which only works if the car still has the radio it left the factory with. Radios are often swapped under warranty, upgraded, or changed by a previous owner.
The serial number is printed on the radio itself, so the code we give you matches the radio in front of you. It is also how we can check it for free before you pay. Main dealers often charge £30–£130, and you usually have to book the car in.

Is my Chevrolet really a Daewoo?
In Europe, up to about 2011, usually yes. The Matiz, Kalos/Aveo, Lacetti, Nubira, Tacuma/Rezzo and Evanda/Epica were Daewoos with a Chevrolet badge from 2005, and the radios came over with them.
Where is the serial?
Take the radio out and read the label. For a Daewoo unit we need the last 8 numbers. If yours looks like something else, type it in anyway and the free check will tell you what it is.
How much is a Chevrolet radio code?

How long does it take?
